It’s a known fact that there are teen drivers who have terrible vehicle accidents. Many of these vehicle accidents can be blamed on inexperience, texting while driving or drunk driving. In their studies, they have noticed 16 year olds are 10 times likely to be in a fatal crash when compared to 25-59-year-old individuals. Many of these accidents are attributed to teens not using seatbelts and not being accompanied by adults. Some reasons for teen vehicle accidents can range from:

In addition to the studies of TTI, the MADD organization of Texas also has startling statistics for teen drivers. Here are a few of them:
· Texas ranks first throughout the U.S. for vehicle deaths involving alcohol.
· 24 percent of Texas teen drivers admit to having several drinks before driving.
· Drinking minors cost the state over $5.5 billion a year.
· On average, kids have their first drink at 12 years old.
