Cheryl Ann White, a 60-year-old Florida resident and nanny, has been charged with unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person and assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature.

Wesley and Leslie Locklair suspected the care given their 5-month-old child was less than ideal and installed a “nanny cam.” According to an article at MyrtleBeachOnline.com, the couple said they viewed the video, saw “many different incidents” of abuse, and made a police report. The Locklairs, both attorneys, filed a Freedom of Information Act request for tape, but the police have retained it as evidence in an ongoing investigation.
