Your Child's Umbillical Cord May Treat CP

Submitted by jrlaw on Mar 9th, 2009

Another potential possibility is using the stem cells of other children's umbillical cord blood - possibly eliminating the need for families to have saved their child's cord in order to receive such treatment. This is spurring controversy over whether people should donate their childrens' umbillical cords for the greater population or whether private banks are a better option.
